History of the council
After Act No. 8, the Act on Temporary Measures for Local Administration, was enacted and enforced on November 17, 1947, the Local Autonomy Act was first proclaimed as Law No. 32 on July 4, 1949, and the formal local self-government system began.
(Only matters pertaining to the local government's executive body and its authority, subordinate agencies, lower-level local administrative offices, and financial powers are regulated.)
